Located 45min away from the capital, you will love this lovely little town surrounded by canals on which you navigate to go from one place to another with a boat.
Take the Tren de la Costa (coast train) at Maipú station and you will see the famous Rio de la Plata from the window as you head towards your destination. You will see Porteños doing their jogging, walking the dog, riding bicycles and relaxing along the Rio.
If you have no plans, take a boat ticket for Tres Bocas. After a 30min journey you will reach a lovely and quiet place. Don't miss a parilla at El Hornero, the meat is exquisite!
During the way back, you may see a house in a box of glass. This is Sarmiento's house, a famous politician in Buenos Aires. The box helps to preserve the house that can be visited.
