The tube becomes arty!
If you take line D of the tube, stop at Plaza Italia in Palermo and discover the masterpiece of Marino Santa Maria, an artist from Argentina who has made the station a more colorful and pleasant place.
Marino Santa Maria worked at night during the past 3 months to achieve its work! You will notice a difference in the design according to the location. The space located close to Buenos Aires Zoo includes design of animals whereas the part located close to the Jardín Botánico display wild elements such as flowers and plants.
The tube is definitely more welcoming thanks to this performance!

Jardín Botánico
Have you heard about the Jardín Botánico of Buenos Aires?
Located in the center of Palermo near Plaza Italia, you are right between Santa Fe and Av. General de las Heras, two very busy avenues which makes the park even more... needed!
Inside the park, you discover inspiring statues and (of course) the origins and names of many plants. Don't miss the Yerba Mate plant! The famous argentinian drink is made from it :)
If you're looking for a quieter place, we recommend you to walk along the zoo and reach the Palermo park. Otherwise, you can borrow a yellow bicycle for free and ride it until a more pleasant place.
